  • Ambassador cuts the anniversary cake with Cameroonian ministers of state Embassy Yaoundé Celebrates Independence Day

    Embassy Yaoundé held its Independence Day celebration on July 2. The Navy Band "Topside" played a beautiful rendition of the American National Anthem and entertained the embassy's 1,800 guests dancing and singing along with the band.

    Ambassador Janet Garvey presided over the dedication/naming of the Information Resource Center (IRC) on June 26, 2008. Ninety participants attended the ceremony, including former Ambassador Frances D. Cook, high-level Cameroon government officials, ambassadors of diplomatic missions in Yaounde, and more.
