General Introductory Sessions on Study in the U.S. to resume January 2008

The U.S. Embassy Educational Advising Center (EAC) will resume its General Introductory Session on Study in the U.S. at the Embassy in Yaounde, on January 10, 2008 (French) and January 15, 2008 (English).  All students who are interested in attending a U.S. institution for the purpose of study or professional development are encouraged to attend.
 
The General Introductory Session on Study in the U.S. is a free informational session that gives an overview of the educational system in the United States, explains university admission test requirements, offers general visa information and other Educational Advising Center services. 

Both free and fee-based group sessions are still open to the general public.  These include, among others:

▪ General Introductory Session on Study in the United States;
▪ How to Choose a School, Finance Your U.S. Education;
▪ Visa Interview Preparation Session;
▪ TOEFL / SAT / ACT Preparation;
▪ Essay Writing for Admission and Standardized Tests.

EAC also plans to host two roundtable discussions. The first will be on Using Your U.S. Diploma in Cameroon, followed by American Culture: Preparing for Your First Year at the University.  In addition, the Educational Advising Center offers fee-based Open Advising. Interested individuals may drop in to meet with Educational Advisor Rosalyn Bowie after the general session on a first-come, first-serve basis, or by appointment.
